New for 2023, ‘Sparkle’ will be hosted exclusively at ROARR!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year to eat, drink and feel merry. Christmas isn’t just for the children, so get together with friends, family and loved ones this year and celebrate in the most magical way.
Add some extra Sparkle to your year with an evening of festivities, a synthetic ice skating rink, Christmas stalls, delicious food, carols and our award-winning Grotto Experience.
Sparkle Activities
Our Sparkle event will open from 4.30pm on selected dates, with FREE entry to the Park, where guests can step into Christmas, with bookable activities including, our award-winning Grotto Experience and a synthetic ice skating rink. Dippy’s Theatre will remain open into the evening, showing a festive film for when it’s cold outside.
*Please note all ROARR! play activities and attractions are not open.
Bark in the Dark
The Grotto Experience guest list now extends to dogs with ‘Bark in the Dark’ this year at Sparkle. Opening for one night only on Sunday 17th December 2023, treat your pooch and join us for a magical private visit to meet Father Christmas, and receive a digital photograph. Please note that all other ‘Sparkle’ activities will not be running on this night.
ROARR! STORE
If you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a dino-hunter, our range of unique toys and merchandise are must-haves. Our on-site store has plenty of dinosaur-themed presents to keep the fun going back home.
The Present Room
A Christmas elf’s tasks include taking care of the reindeer, making candy, and preparing the sleigh. But one of the primary tasks of an elf is to wrap presents all year round. Visit the festive Present Room and purchase a Christmas gift for your parents and watch the elves hard at work.
Amp up the festive fun and spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear at Sparkle. With music and entertainment including community groups singing carols and a live performance from a local Dance School, you won’t want to stay home alone this festive season.
Before retiring to the market to enjoy some stocking-filler shopping, pick up some warming food and drink from street vendors, and a bar that will offer festive tipples to keep you going throughout the evening.
Get into the Christmas spirit this year by taking a stroll through Sparkle’s stalls. Whether you’re looking for the perfect presents for your loved ones or just want to treat yourself to some festive cheer, Sparkle has got you covered. Taking place from 25th November – 23rd December (selected dates).

Enjoy exclusive ice skating rink access for you and your friends for an hour or two at ROARR! Exclusive ice skating rink hire is available 30 minutes after the park closes, you can bring up to 60 people to enjoy your skating evening.
Build your own experience by adding on one of our food packages, or enjoy full access to the bar at the rink with soft and alcoholic drink options available.
