ROARR! is pleased to confirm that all animals from the Secret Animal Garden have now been successfully rehomed in carefully selected environments where their welfare and long-term care will continue to be prioritised. The relocation follows the park’s earlier decision to close the Secret Animal Garden after careful consideration of the increasing regulatory requirements associated with holding a zoo licence.
The Secret Animal Garden has been a much-loved part of ROARR! for many years, and the decision to close it was not taken lightly. The park recognises the strong connection many families have built with the animals over time and would like to thank visitors for their continued support and understanding.
Several of the animals have already settled into their new homes. Giant tortoise and visitor favourite, Ernie, along with lovebirds and corn snakes, are all now enjoying life at Pettit’s Animal Adventure Park and Clarice the iguana has settled in at Amazona Zoo in Cromer. All other animals have also found new homes with experienced keepers and crew to ensure the highest standards of care are continued.
Adam Goymour, Managing Director of ROARR!, said:
“While it was a difficult decision to close the Secret Animal Garden, our absolute priority throughout has been the welfare of the animals. We’re delighted that each one has now found a new home where they will continue to receive excellent care. We know many of our visitors had a real affection for them, so we’re pleased to be able to share that they have all settled into environments that suit their needs.”
ROARR! would like to thank the specialist keepers who supported the relocation process, ensuring a smooth transition for all animals involved.
