Statement
How we design and improve the ROARR! website so more guests can use it.
Last reviewed: 11 July 2026
1. Our Aim
We want the ROARR! website to be clear, readable and usable for as many guests as possible, including people using assistive technology. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA as our current benchmark. This is an ongoing target and not a claim of independent certification.
2. What We Work Towards
We design and review the site against practical accessibility expectations:
- Readable colour contrast and scalable text.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and forms.
- Useful alternative text for meaningful images.
- Clear headings, links and page structure.
3. Accessibility At The Park
ROARR! is situated within 85 acres of natural woodland and we work to make the park itself, not just the website, accessible to as many guests as possible. Our park includes both indoor and outdoor attractions.
Part of the park is on a hillside, so access to the lower part is best taken through Valley of the Dinosaurs, which has a lower gradient and avoids the steeper hills; path surfaces there are tarmac. It’s recommended that unaccompanied wheelchair users do not attempt this area without assistance.
4. Known Limits
Some older PDFs, third-party booking journeys or embedded services may not follow the same accessibility approach as the ROARR! website.
- We avoid adding new inaccessible content where possible.
- We replace or improve problem content when it is found.
- Guest Services can help if a format is hard to use.
