How ROARR! uses cookies and similar technologies, including the choices you control.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

1. What Cookies And Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local browser storage, scripts, pixels, web beacons and temporary security tokens. This policy explains what the live ROARR! website uses, why it is used and how you can control it. Read it with our Privacy Policy. The relevant rules include UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.

Strictly necessary technologies operate automatically where they are needed to provide or secure the service. Analytics and marketing technologies are off by default and load only after the relevant affirmative choice. You can browse the website and continue to our booking partner without accepting optional tracking. Continuing to browse is not consent.

2. What We Use, And Why

The live website uses or can use the following technologies. Optional analytics and marketing rows remain inactive unless you consent to their category:

TechnologyCategoryProviderWhat it doesDuration or operation
roarr_consent_v1Strictly necessaryROARR! (local browser storage)Remembers your analytics and marketing choices, the consent version and when you chose them.180 days.
Cloudflare Turnstile tokenStrictly necessary when a protected form is usedCloudflareChecks that a form submission is likely to come from a person rather than an automated bot. ROARR! uses the standard single-use token and does not configure Turnstile pre-clearance.Up to 5 minutes and single use. No cf_clearance cookie is issued by the ROARR! configuration.
_gaAnalytics, off by defaultGoogle Analytics 4Distinguishes visitors so we can understand how the website is used and improve it.Up to 2 years. Browser limits may shorten this.
_ga_*Analytics, off by defaultGoogle Analytics 4Keeps session state for the ROARR! Analytics property.Up to 2 years. Browser limits may shorten this.
Veritonic attribution requestMarketing, off by defaultVeritonic, on behalf of Bauer MediaMeasures a consented page view linked to our radio advertising. The request includes the page URL, browser and device information, platform and IP-derived network information. One request for each consented page view sent by ROARR!. The current integration does not set a persistent visitor cookie or local-storage identifier.
Google Fonts Web API requestExternal resource, not a cookieGoogleDelivers the Parkinsans typeface. The request includes the visitor’s IP address, requested URL and browser headers. One resource request, with ordinary browser caching. Google states that the Fonts API does not set or log cookies.

Google Analytics 4 is used only for website analytics. ROARR! keeps Google advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation denied. The Google tag is not requested before analytics consent.

The Veritonic script is used only for Bauer Media radio-campaign attribution. ROARR! sends one view event after marketing consent. Our audit of the current Veritonic EU script found no normal persistent visitor cookie or local-storage identifier, but the network request still shares the technical information described in the table.

Booking your visit takes you to our separate booking partner’s website. Cookies and similar technologies used there are covered by that site’s own cookie and privacy information.

3. Managing Your Cookie Choices

On your first visit, the cookie banner gives you these choices:

  • Accept all and Reject all are both available on the first layer.
  • Customise lets you switch analytics and marketing on or off separately.
  • Closing the banner with the × button or pressing Escape continues with necessary technologies only and records that choice.
  • You can ignore the banner and continue browsing. Optional tracking remains off until you make an affirmative choice.

Your Choice

Use Cookie Preferences in the website footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawal prevents optional tracking on future pages and disables Google Analytics measurement for the rest of the current page.
