World Book Day 2025 with ROARR!

ROARR! Inspires a Love of Reading Across Norfolk Schools

A much-loved Norfolk attraction is helping children discover the joy of reading. ROARR!, based in Lenwade, recently launched a special social media competition inviting followers to nominate a local class for the chance to win copies of Dippy & The Mysterious Egg in celebration of World Book Day 2025.

The response from the community was fantastic, and more than twenty classes across Norfolk were selected as winners. Every pupil in each winning class received their very own copy of the book, creating an exciting shared reading experience for hundreds of children.

To make the occasion even more memorable, the ROARR! team, joined by everyone’s favourite dinosaur, Dippy, personally delivered over 600 books to local schools. Pupils were thrilled to meet the park’s much-loved mascot, turning a simple book delivery into a truly unforgettable experience.

The celebrations don’t stop there. Families visiting ROARR! on Friday 7th March 2025 are invited to head to Dippy’s Theatre at 2.00pm for a special live story time with Dippy himself, featuring Dippy & The Mysterious Egg. After the reading, families will have the opportunity to take home their own copy of the book, packed with fun, friendship and dino-sized adventure.

Ben Francis, Park Director at ROARR!, said:
“We’re always looking for ways to give back to our guests and the local community. Encouraging reading among young people is incredibly important: it helps build knowledge, spark imagination and inspire creativity. We hope the children who receive these books treasure them and enjoy learning more about Dippy, Raz, Paris and Terry.”

Through initiatives like this, ROARR! continues to combine adventure with education, helping to create meaningful memories both inside and beyond the park.
